2010 Client Checklist

NO RECEIPT MEANS NO DEDUCTION - IRS LAW

 

 

All taxpayers:

           

             1.        W-2’s, All 1099 forms (R, G, INT, DIV) including ALL 1099-C (cancellation of debt)

             2.        Any K-1’s from Partnerships and / or Corporations

             3.        NEW CLIENTS - PLEASE BRING IN YOUR LAST YEAR's TAXES
            
 4.        All Mortgage interest statements

             5.        Social Security payments received      

             6.        Municipal Bond interest received (if any)

             7.        Social Security numbers for all dependants & dates of births

             8.        Gambling winning / losses statements 

             9.        Interest paid on student loans

            10.       Total of any Medical expenses incurred during the year

            11.       Unemployment compensation received

            12.       Charitable contributions / tithes to churches

            13.       Unreimbursed business expenses

            14.       Any other miscellaneous income

            15.       Refinance- Bring HUD documents

            16.       Auto Registration Fees

Self employed (sole proprietorships)

 

            1.         Income statement on each business and CRS returns

            2.         Dates and amounts of equipment purchased during the year

            3.         Total of any business mileage traveled and /or vehicle operating expenses                

            4.         Health Insurance and pension payments

            5.         Recap of all business related expenses

            6.         Payroll reports if you have employees

 

Sales of ANY stocks, bonds, mutual funds and /or sales or exchanges of any real estate

 

            1.         1099’s from brokers, attorneys or title companies

            2.         Dates and cost of acquired property and improvements         

            3.         Payment schedule of principal and interest received on contracts

            4.         Closing statement of homes you bought or sold

 

Rental Property Income

 

            1.         List of rent received

            2.         List of expenses, Interest, Taxes paid, Repairs, Travel costs, Utilities, Telephone,  Advertising, and Insurance paid

            3.         Dates and costs of any major improvements or furniture & fixtures purchased

            4.         Closing statement of any property acquired or refinanced

 

Educational Expense for Hope and Lifetime credits

 

1.                  Tuition and fee expenses

2.                  1098 from Institution

 

Miscellaneous items

 

            1.         Investment Expenses paid

            2.         Child care expenses

            3.         IRA contributions
